Delete your MatchBD account
You can delete your MatchBD account and the personal data attached to it at any time, without asking anyone’s permission and without giving a reason. MatchBD is operated by MatchBD, registered in Bangladesh under registration number TRAD/DSCC/001678/2026.
How to delete it yourself
There is one deletion screen and two ways to reach it. Whichever you use, it takes effect immediately.
On this website
- 1Sign in at matchbd.com/store/login with your registered phone number.
- 2Open Account → Delete account.
- 3Type DELETE to confirm, then choose Delete my account.
From the MatchBD app
- 1Open the MatchBD app and sign in.
- 2Choose Delete account from your account. It opens the same Delete Account screen at matchbd.com/store/account?tab=delete, already signed in.
- 3Confirm there. You are signed out on every device straight away.
Uninstalling the app does not delete your account — it stays open until you delete it on that screen or ask us to.
If you cannot sign in
Lost the phone number you registered with, or cannot get past sign-in for any other reason? Ask us and we will delete the account for you. Send us the phone number or email the account was registered with, and write “Delete my account” in the subject line. We verify that the request really comes from the account holder before we delete anything, so we may ask you one or two questions first — we will never ask for your OTP, password or card number.
Saturday – Thursday, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Bangladesh Standard Time (GMT+6)). Email is answered within 1 business day.
What is deleted
The moment you confirm, you are signed out everywhere and you cannot sign back in. Your profile stops being visible to anyone, and the following are removed:
- Your profile: name, photos, bio, interests, family details and partner preferences.
- Your matches, the interests you sent and received, and your conversations.
- Your contact details — phone number and email — which are released so they can be used to register again.
- Your Gift Shop order history, saved addresses and saved payment methods.
- Your remaining Match Numbers, Profile Boosts and any unused package benefits, which are forfeited.
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Your data is held for a short grace period and then destroyed for good — the exact date it is destroyed is shown to you the moment you confirm, so you always know when it is gone. Creating a new account afterwards starts from scratch; nothing is restored.
What we keep, and why
A few records survive deletion because the law requires it or because removing them would let someone evade a ban. Nothing in this list is used to build a profile of you or shown to other members:
Transaction records
Records of completed purchases are kept for as long as Bangladesh tax and accounting law requires. Orders already placed are still fulfilled.
Fraud and abuse records
A minimal record is kept where it is needed to prevent fraud, chargeback abuse or a banned person re-registering.
Safety and legal holds
Where an account is the subject of a safety report or a lawful request, the relevant records are preserved separately for as long as the law requires — deleting the account does not withdraw a report.

Would a pause do instead?
If the problem is unwanted attention rather than the account itself, you can block anyone who is bothering you and report them to us, without losing your profile and matches. Our help centre covers both, and a person answers during support hours.
